Understanding the OC Test (Year 4 Entry to Year 5)

NSW OC & Selective Tests: The Opportunity Class (OC) Test is taken by Year 4 students seeking entry into Year 5. OC classes are designed for academically gifted students and are offered in 76 government primary schools across NSW.

  • Purpose: Designed for academically gifted students, OC classes are offered in 76 NSW government primary schools.

    • Reading: 30 minutes

Year 6 students take the Selective High School Placement Test for entry into Year 7.
