How this free Year 3 maths test was built
The current NSW Mathematics K–10 syllabus is the main curriculum reference. Historical Year 3 NAPLAN Numeracy papers from 2010–2016 were reviewed only as a secondary reference for age-appropriate visual, contextual and reasoning formats.
Those papers repeatedly use number representations, money, time, fractions, simple graphs/tables, spatial reasoning, patterns, measurement and chance. This test samples the same broad skills using new wording, new numbers, new scenarios and original diagrams.
Aussie Math Tutor NSW is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NESA, ACARA or NAPLAN. Official NAPLAN questions, answers and artwork remain copyright materials of their rights holders. This page contains independently written practice questions and original diagrams.

Turn the score into a practical study plan
Review mistakes by underlying skill rather than simply repeating the paper. Strengthen the missing foundation, practise it with different examples, then return to mixed problem-solving.
