What Happens in the Free 45-Minute Tutor Assessment?
The assessment gives us a practical starting point before you decide whether ongoing tutoring is suitable. We discuss the concern, look at the student's current maths understanding and explain what may deserve priority.
Understand the Concern
We discuss the student's year level, current schoolwork, areas of difficulty and what you have noticed at home or through school.
Check Current Understanding
Suitable maths questions help us see what the student can do independently and where they begin becoming unsure.
Identify Important Gaps
Where necessary, we step back to check whether an earlier prerequisite skill is affecting the student's current maths.
Discuss the Next Step
We explain what we noticed and discuss a practical starting point, lesson format and possible tutoring frequency.
There is no obligation to continue with paid tutoring after the assessment.

Standard personalised one-to-one maths lessons are 60 minutes.
