How our Zoom Maths lessons work
Zoom provides an effective shared learning space where the tutor and student can work together rather than speaking across a passive video call. The tutor can explain concepts visually, share worksheets and inspect the student’s mathematical working as it develops.
Live explanation
The tutor explains concepts step by step using writing, diagrams, examples and screen sharing.
Collaborative problem-solving
The student writes on the whiteboard, answers questions and explains their thinking while the tutor provides immediate guidance.
Carefully selected resources
Lessons may combine school materials, reputable textbooks including Cambridge resources, tutor-created worksheets and targeted questions.
Follow-up material where required
Relevant notes, questions and practice materials may be shared after the lesson by email or WhatsApp.

Lessons require reliable internet. When a genuine technical problem prevents a session from proceeding properly, we normally arrange another time rather than charging the family for an unusable lesson.
